Poetry Post - Grahamwood Elementary 5th and 6th grade students in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, invite teachers to submit student poems for publication in our Internet project Poetry Post. Originally, our poetry project featured poems about geographic locations. We've expanded the invitation to include E-poems that describe your ideas, feelings, and experiences.

Seasonal Holiday Activities:  We invite teachers to share their students' creative thinking and writing through a variety of poetry forms. With numerous holidays approaching, perhaps your students would like to submit poems about holiday happenings or memories.

What?!?  You don't DO poetry!?!  Then please visit our E-Teacher Tips.  Our project coordinator plans to share thinking strategies for writing poetry.  See tips for creating one of our favorite poems:  E-Excuses--a poem filled with exaggerated excuses for not doing homework!  If you do poetry, perhaps you'll share your tips.

Publishing their poetry on the Internet tells your students their ideas and writing are very important. We hope you'll join us in our journey and help us create a web of poetry revealing the similarities and differences of global classmates.
