Here are a few ideas for using the January - April issue of MidLink Magazine to integrate technology with standard curriculum. The best place to start is with your own curriculum.
- Weave a computer writing activity into your course. Let students write an paragraph or an essay for I Have a Dream, TOO. Select the best essays, post them on your web site, and we will point to you from the growing dream menu.
- Read some of the exciting dreams submitted to I Have a Dream, Too by students around the globe. Students can select one and compare their dreams by constructing a Venn Diagram (Print out a graphic organizer from Graphic Organizer.Com or use Inspiration software to create your own.) Analyze the similarities and differences and discuss them. Some dreams have e-mail addresses, which would provide an opportunity for e-mail exchanges. MidLink will point to your web page if you post your results.
