“What was what? I didn’t hear anything. This fairy stuff is getting to your head.” Max was starting to get really annoyed by Sarah. Ignore her, He thought to himself, She’s just doing this to get on your nerves.
“There it is again! I’m not kidding you!” Sarah wailed. Max was fed up. He picked up his sandwich and Coke and pushed through the door to the living room.
“ Stupid sisters,” he said to himself, “ who needs them?”
Then he heard it. BOOM, BOOM! It sounded like someone was dragging one hundred pound chains around on their ankles in the attic. Sarah walked in. “ I told you I heard something!” she said. “What are we gonna do?”
