In the year 2000
Joel Paek
In the year 2000 if I had the power I would do many things
to improve the world. These improvements would make a great positive
impact all over the world.
The first thing I would do is give more funding to researchers
that are trying to find cures for diseases. Every year thousands
of people, including children die of uncurable diseases. With the
money that I would give them the gracious doctors would be able to buy
more supplies and perform more tests to cure these diseases.
The next thing that I would do is promote world peace.
Numerous people die every day because of gang violence, terrorist attacks
from the Middle East, and from violence inside their homes. I would
stop the fighting and oversee treaties signed by enemy countries and make
sure that everybody has a safe home to come into.
The last thing I would do is give more
money to the United States' education systems. That way every student
will be able to have access to the Internet and be able to experience state
of the art technology. By giving more money to education, the facilities
of each schoool will be greatly enhanced so that there will be no cramped
classrooms and unsanitary bathrooms. These deeds will ultimately
enhance every child's view of the world and that would make them smarter.
