The World Could Be Better If We Did 3 things...

I think the world would be a better place if we did 3 simple things: help other people in need, get this mess with Iraq straightened out without killing any innocent people, and help the animal population. These are all very important parts of the world and we need to help them become better.

Many people are in need. They are in need of proper clothing, shelter, and food. If we could donate these things, their lives could be a lot better. If every just showed a little compassion for these people, I’m sure it would make their day. If you were on the streets, I think that you would want someone to show a little caring towards you. I think if people would just give street people a chance, they could find a job and start making some money that would eventually lead up to them finding some shelter.

When I first heard about the US bombing Iraq, I felt horrible for all the innocent people that might get killed when the bombs went off near the military bases. My dad told me that the US was trying to concentrate on the areas near Saddam’s missile sites. I thought that was good. Still people, innocent people, are being killed. We just need to find Saddam’s main sites and blow up them. Then, after we have done that, try to find Saddam and make him hand over his weapons. This might save many lives if we just tried a little harder to stay away from the innocent people. I understand that some people might get killed but we can at least not as many people will be killed.

Last, but not least, the animal population is decreasing, I think. Many animals are being hit by cars. We need to pay more attention while driving and watch out for any animals that might dart out in front of us. I understand it is hard to stop the car when a deer darts in front of you but if we pay more attention to the road and not what’s going on in the back seat, then we might not hit the deer. With the rain forest being cut down animals are losing their habitats. We are also losing our oxygen and the animals will have no place to go. We need to give a little more thought to the effects of our actions, not just the fact that we are making money.

These are some issues I feel strongly about. You may have different opinions and that’s OK, but keep in mind that everyone has different opinions.
