Spend your money wisely and learn the principles of investing while using spreadsheet software. This project is as fun as it is educational. Students choose stocks that they want to "purchase" and then create the spreadsheet to track the progress of their investment portfolio. Arnold Pulda provides a tutorial showing how to set up and maintain a spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel. The project is just loaded with possibilities for lessons that work in many disciplines in all grades. You can see a few examples of the student work here.  Your projects will be added as you complete them.
