CARY, NC (October 2000) — SAS inSchool announces the selection of six new teacher-editors for the 2000-2001 year of MidLink Magazine, the award-winning magazine for kids, by kids aged 8 to 18. The new editors are:

  •   Wanda Day, Grahamwood Elementary, Memphis, TN
  •    Daithi’ O’Murchu’, Gaelscol, Limerick, Ireland
  •   Brenda Dyck, Master’s Academy, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
  • Arnold Pulda, Doherty Memorial High School, Worcester, MA
  • Glenn Gurley, Mt. Holly Middle School, Mt. Holly, NC
  • Russ Van Wyk, Cary Academy, Cary, NC

Editor-in-Chief, Caroline McCullen, expressed excitement about the coming year, “We met face-to-face for the first time this month. The group jelled quickly, and these professionals are already working on dynamic projects together. The new editors will bring synergy, enthusiasm, expertise, and innovative project ideas to our readers.”

The editors will work with international colleagues to help students create content for MidLink Magazine. MidLink’s mission is to highlight the exemplary work from classrooms around the world. The magazine is sponsored by SAS inSchool, NC State University, and the University of Central Florida. The Advisory Board includes Ann Thompson, Educator-on-Loan, NC Department of Public Instruction/Centennial Middle School, and Beckey Reed, NC State University.

All content must be original, must enhance learning, and must come directly from a classroom.
