Virtual Time Capsule:
Our Link to the Future!

A Project Invitation from
Wanda Day and Julie Kitchingman

We invite you to create artifacts for a Virtual Time Capsule - artifacts that reflect your class, your school, your community - artifacts that represent your values, interests, talents, concerns, hopes, dreams, in the here and now.

Unlike real time capsules that are sealed, buried or hidden away, and opened at a later date, the artifacts in a Virtual Time Capsule will be featured on web pages for global classmates to discover and enjoy. In the year 2100 (or 3100, or thousands of years from now!) students the same age as you might visit your Virtual Time Capsule and analyze the artifacts your class created to preserve history.

"A good education enables students to know what to remember from the past, what to enjoy in the present, and what to plan for in the future."  Author Unknown
