Former United States Senator Bill Bradley will kick off the fourth season of the Millennium Seminars. Senator Bradley will deliver an important foreign policy address that will focus upon the re-emergence of Russia as a powerful international political force.
Russia is regaining a position of international influence, its re-emergence fueled by tapping into vast deposits of oil, gas and other natural resources. Immediate past President Vladimir Putin has expended considerable energy reasserting the “Russian bear” as a force with which to be reckoned. How should the next President shape our nation’s foreign policy in light of these developments? As we experience the impact of Russia’s growing international assertiveness, how can we work with Russia in constructive ways, rather than relying upon what may be antiquated oppositional models?
Senator Bradley will share his thoughts about these questions in an address not yet shared with any other audience. The evening promises to make news, inform, enlighten and challenge our thinking about American foreign policy and Russia’s role in our nation’s future.
