Admissions
Students interested in the Music Minor Program should begin by visiting our website www.ncsu.edu/music/minor to electronically fill out and submit an application. Dr. John Fuller will contact you to arrange a conference. The student and Dr. Fuller will develop a plan of study, and arrange for an audition (performance emphasis only).

For the History, Composition, and Liberal Arts Emphasis, formal admission to the degree program will be granted following the successful completion of Music 201. For the Performance Emphasis, an audition is required to enroll for private lessons (Mus 390), and formal admission to the program is granted following the successful completion of Music 201.

Certification
The Music Department Director, Dr. J. Mark Scearce, will certify the minor prior to graduation. Paperwork for certification should be completed no later than the beginning of the student’s final semester at NC State. The minor must be completed by the semester in which the student expects to graduate from his or her degree program.
