Our laboratory focuses on nanoscale photophysics and photochemistry to develop novel devices for information technology, solar energy utilization and environment remediation. We are interested in understanding the fundamentals of light-matter interaction and charge dynamics in nanostructures, and, based on the understanding, develop a paradigm for the rational design of nanostructures to explore new science and applications. The research work in our laboratory is highly interdisciplinary, and we have dedicated efforts in the areas of nanophotonics, time-resolved spectroscopies, catalytic chemistry and nanomaterials synthesis.
