Welcome to the Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network (RTNN), an innovation hub for transformative nanotechnology research, discovery, education, commercialization, and workforce development!

The Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network offers unprecedented access to nanotechnology facilities in the Research Triangle area for researchers from across the nation. Our education, workforce training, and outreach programs are comprehensive in nature and will train the next generation of scientists, engineers, and technicians. We also offer comprehensive nanotechnology resources for society, including Public Alerts and a Clearinghouse of archived information.

The RTNN not only serves as a portal to physical resources in the Research Triangle, but also intellectual resources by leveraging the expertise of our 100+ principal faculty and 45+ technical staff members across the 3 constituent universities and 9 core shared user facilities.

The RTNN is one of 16 sites in the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI), the successor to the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN). The NNCI is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
