2/C Advisor

The 1/C Advisor is a Surface Nuclear Officer who most recently completed a
two-year tour on the USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70) stationed in Bremerton, WA. He was the Machinery Plant #2 Division Officer and completed two WESTPAC deployments during his tenure. After completing his Engineer qualification in Washington, D.C., he returned to the ship as the Reactor Training Division Officer. He first entered the military as an enlisted nuclear mechanic in 1994. After completing the nuclear program pipeline he was selected into an officer accession program and was assigned to Auburn University NROTC where he attended and earned a BS in Civil Engineering (Magna Cum Laude). After completing Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Fl. he was commissioned as an Ensign. A short six months in Newport, RI saw his completion of Surface Warfare Officer School and assignment to the USS UNDERWOOD (FFG-36) stationed in Mayport, Fl. After a year and a half onboard as the Communications Officer and Communications Security manager he re-entered the nuclear program pipeline to be trained as a nuclear officer.



 

The 2/C Advisor is a Nuclear Submarine Officer who most recently completed a
year long tour at COMUSNAVCENT/5th Fleet as NAVCENT's Submarine Exercise Planner and as the Country Engagement Officer for the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. After graduating from NYU with a double major in Physics and Philoso phy, he was commissioned through OCS in Pensacola, FL in April of 2001. After a year and a half of training at Nuclear Power School, Nuclear Prototype and Submarine School, he reported to the USS NEVADA SSBN 733 (B) in Bangor, WA, a Nuclear Ballistic Missile submarine. While on board the USS NEVADA, he served as Electrical Assistant, Main Propulsion Assistant, Tactical Systems Officer, Ships Diving Officer and Assistant Quality Assurance Officer, as well as completing the Prospective Nuclear Engineer Officer course and qualifying Naval Nuclear Engineer. He reported to NC State in August 06, and in addition to his role as the 2/C advisor, he also teaches Naval Weapons Systems and Engineering.

4/C Advisor

The 3/C Adviser is a Naval Flight Officer who most recently completed a 5th/7th Fleet deployment as the Mission Commander of the Mighty Combat Aircrew 6 of VP-45, a P-3 squadron based out of Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL. He was commissioned through the NROTC program at Northwestern University, after which he reported to Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL to begin flight training. He was winged in October, 2002 at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. He then reported to VP-30, the P-3 fleet replacement squadron in Jacksonville, FL, with follow-on orders to VP-45, where he completed two deployments, the first as a Navigator/Communicator and the second as a Tactical Coordinator. He reported to NC State NROTC in March 06, and in addition to his role as the 3/C Adviser, he also teaches Leadership and Management.



 

The Midshipmen 4/C advisor is a Naval Aviator and Naval Aircrewman with almost 2000 hours of flight time in the S-3B Viking, the SH-3H/UH-3H Sea King, the MH-60S Knighthawk, the T-34C Mentor, and the TH-57B/C. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve in 1987 and went to boot camp between his junior and senior years in High School. During his time as a drilling reservist he completed two years of college while qualifying as an A-7E Corsair II aircraft with VA-205 at NAS Atlanta. After recall he completed Naval Aircrewman Candidate School, Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator School, Instructor school, and the S-3B Senso Fleet Replacement syllabus, where he earned his Naval Aircrewman Wings of Gold! After a short tour with VS-27 at Naval Air Station(NAS) Cecil Field, FL, He transferred to HS-75 and began flying and instructing with the world famous Emerald Knights aboard NAS Jacksonville, FL. He worked his way up to Petty Officer First Class and earned his Air Warfare qualification. During that time he flew Search and Rescue and Anti-Submarine Warfare missions aboard USS Eisenhower, USS America, USS John C. Stennis, USS John F. Kennedy, USS Oliver Hazard Perry, and flew multiple detachments to the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC), Andros Island, Bahamas. In 1997 he earned his Bachelor's Degree from the NAS JAX satellite campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Completed Officer Candidate School, and was commissioned an Ensign. He was assigned as the Officer in Charge of the Naval Auxiliary Landing Field Orange Grove, TX. NALF Orange Grove is the premiere training field in south Texas with 1300 acres, two 8000ft. runways, Precision Approach Radar to all runways, and an instrument landing system. He then
transferred back to NAS Whiting Field for flight school. He flew primary flight school with the mighty Doerbirds of VT-2, and advanced with Helicopter Training Squadron EIGHT. He earned his Aviator's Wings of Gold and was selected to pilot Commander, Third Fleet's personal UH-3H aircraft with the "Gunbearers" of HC-11 DET 15. He completed his fleet tour as the squadron's Senior Division Officer, flying the Navy's newest aircraft, the MH-60S for the newly commissioned HSC-21 "Blackjacks."

North Carolina Piedmont Consortium Naval ROTC Executive Officer

Executive Officer, North Carolina Piedmont Consortium The Executive Officer entered the Marine Corps in 1989 after graduating from the University of Virginia. Following The Basic School, he reported to Landing Force Training Command, Atlantic for Basic Officer's Logistics Course, where he earned his initial Logistics MOS. He reported to 1 st Battalion, 5 th Marines as the S-4A and Embarkation Officer in 1990. He served with this unit through a deployment to Panama, Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and a rotation to Okinawa. In 1993, The Executive Officer graduated with honors from MAGTF Intelligence Officers' course in Dam Neck, Virginia and returned to the 1 st Marine Division where he served as the S-2 for 1 st Battalion, 4 th Marines during a WESTPAC deployment with 15 th MEU(SOC). He then served as the S-2 for the 1 st Marine Regiment and subsequently as the S-2 for the 11 th Marine Regiment. The Executive Officer was selected for USMC Command and Control Systems Course in 1996 and finished as an honor graduate in 1997. After a temporary assignment to Joint Special Operations Command, he was transferred to the United States Central Command in Tampa, Florida. During his three-year tour in Tampa, he served as the Chief of the Horn of Africa Intelligence Assessments team and as the lead briefer for the Commander in Chief. The Executive Officer reported to the 2 nd FSSG as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence in the summer of 2000. During his three-year tour, he served as the Director of Intelligence (J-2) for Joint Task Force 160 in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and as the G-2 for the Marine Logistics Command during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2003, the Executive Officer reported to the Joint Special Operations Command, where he worked in the Operations Directorate. While in this billet, he served in combat tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2006, The Executive Officer reported to his current assignment as the executive officer for the North Carolina Piedmont Consortium. The Executive Officer holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of South Florida, and his personal decorations include: Bronze Star (one oak cluster), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two oak cluster), The Joint Service Commendation Medal (two oak clusters), The Navy and Marine Commendation Medal (gold star and combat V device), the Joint Service Achievement Medal (oak cluster), and the Combat Action Ribbon.
