NROTC Tour - Clubs and Organizations

Clubs

The NCSU NROTC Battalion tries to stay active in a number of extracurricular activities, athletics, and volunteer events. Highlighted below are some of our larger clubs and organizations.

Exhibition Drill Team

The Exhibition Drill team represents NCSU NORTC in both local and national drill competitions. A unique feature of this organization is their silent drill team, which practices close order drill with rifles without any verbal communications.

Intramural Athletic Teams

Our intramural athletic teams (soccer, softball, and basketball) consist of Midshipmen, Marines, and Officer Candidates from the battalion. They consistently perform well in both sponsored and invitational competitions throughout the Raleigh-Durham area.

Heritage Society

The Heritage Society is a professional organization focusing on leadership development and increased physical fitness. Heritage was created for above average Navy Option Midshipmen to enhance themselves professionally. Leadership is first taught to midshipmen through our indoctrination process.

Semper Fidelis Socitey

The Semper Fi Society consists of Marines and Marine Option Midshipmen who are dedicated to the ideals of professionalism, achievement, and honor that represent the highest values of service in the United States Marine Corps. Intense physical and leadership training are developed on a continual basis.and challenging.
