The North Carolina Japan Center continuously promotes academic exchange with Japanese institutions. The Center particularly seeks to foster closer ties between Japanese and North Carolina scholars in all fields of research. The Center also sponsors the Japanese Language School of Raleigh, a Saturday School primarily devoted to linguistic and cultural education for the children of Japanese nationals working in the Triangle area. The School also provides Japanese language instruction for North Carolinians.
