The Department of Chemistry has a team of outstanding faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduates who have received numerous distinguished research, educational, and professional awards and honors.

Outstanding senior, graduate or post-doc student majoring in chemistry in recognition of a students' demonstrated record of leadership, ability, character, and professional promise. (Selection should be based on the first three and a half of the student's collegiate life.) (Senior, Grad and/or Postdoc)

2008 Undergraduate Award in Analytical Chemistry – to encourage student interest in analytical chemistry and to recognize students who display an aptitude for a career in that field. Students must have completed their third undergraduate year before the Fall of 2008 and are expected to be enrolled as a senior during the 2009-2010 academic year.) (Junior or Senior)

Hypercube Scholar 2008 – Includes a copy of HyperChem for Windows and a commemorative plaque. This award is given to encourage students to excel in chemistry. It is suggested that the recipient be a physical chemistry student. (Senior)
