VISITOR POLICY

Can I visit the Center for Universal Design?

If you wish to visit the Center, this must be arranged in advance by contacting 919.515.3082 or sending email to cud@ncsu.edu. Unfortunately, at this time, the Center for Universal Design has a limited capacity to receive visitors at our office. In most cases, perusal of our web site will provide the best information about the services in research, design, training and outreach that are provided. An increasing number of our publications are available as pdf downloads.

Regrettably, we do not have areas set up for public display and demonstration of universal features or experimental prototypes. However, we exhibit at several conferences and participate in training workshops in different parts of the United States each year, and would invite you to visit with us on those occasions.

WALKING ROUTES TO CUD

From Riddick Parking Lot
Walk up the sidewalk that parallels Boney Drive.  At the top of the hill, follow the sidewalk to the left until you reach the first crosswalk.  Cross Stinson Drive and follow the sidewalk down to the side of Leazar Hall perpendicular to Stinson Drive.  The Center’s offices are located through the second door on your right.

How To Get from the Coliseum Parking Deck to the Center
Exit the Parking Deck onto Dunn Avenue, cross the road, pass under the railroad via the tunnel closest to Pullen Road (almost directly across from Jensen Drive). Walk through the white building's middle breezeway, bear right and walk around the edge of Riddick Parking Lot until you reach Boney Drive. Walk up the sidewalk on Boney Drive toward the Visitors Booth.

At the top of the hill, turn left and at the first crosswalk, cross Stinson Drive .   Leazar Hall is now on your immediate right.  Our entrance faces the small parking lot/drop off area that sits between Leazar and Poe Hall.  Our entry door is set back under an exterior porch area on your right.  There is a key code pad on the door, so knock or ring the doorbell to be let in.
