THE STUDIO
The Art and Design International Studio provides an empirical experience with the focus on the investigation of motifs, symbols and markings found in traditional and contemporary Ghana. Students are exposed to and learn about the arts and crafts of Ghana that has been impacted by its history and culture.

PERSONAL STUDIES
The opportunity for learning is maximized by the collection of data through a series of field studies. Students record their data in a journal that also serves as a sketchbook, using a variety of techniques.

Drawings, rubbings, video, photographs, interviews, direct observation, ideation sketches and collecting artifacts are all used to generate a number of finished works.

THE WORK
