Our alumni are enrolled in graduate and professional schools, working in a wide variety of career fields around the world, and contributing to their communities and professions in unique and important ways.

Felicia (Bowen) Bridges (1988) lives in Raleigh and is working as a Human Resources Manager for the North Carolina Turnpike Authority. She met her husband while working as an RA in Sullivan Hall, and their first child, Megan, joined the University Scholars Program in Fall 2009.

Dr. John Walton Sanders (1988 ) and Dr. Leigh Ann (Young) Sanders (1989) returned to the states after living in Peru where John was the Officer-in-Charge of the Naval Medical Research Center Detachment (NMRCD)-Peru, a tropical medicine research lab. John is now works in Infectious Disease at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and Leigh Ann practices internal medicine in Bristol, VA. Their daughter is now at NC State and a current University Scholar!
