USP Voucher and Ticket Policy
The University Scholars Program provides students with the opportunity to attend a wide range of lectures, cultural and international events, foreign films, concerts and other performances. Tickets for these events are available free of charge though the USP Office. For some of these events, a voucher will be issued which can be redeemed for a ticket to a specific event. Vouchers may be picked up in the USP Office [102 Sullivan Hall; 515-2353] Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please observe that tickets and vouchers are limited in number and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Students using tickets or vouchers provided by the USP are expected to respect the following guidelines:
1. You must pick up and sign for vouchers in person at the USP Office. Vouchers may not be picked up for friends, even if they are Scholars.
2. Only Scholars should use vouchers provided by the USP Office. Vouchers may not be given to non-Scholars, i.e., friends, relatives, significant others.
3. Vouchers for films should be redeemed at the Campus Cinema box office no later than 15 minutes prior to the event.
4. Students who sign up for but fail to attend dinners or events for which tickets must be purchased will be charged the cost of the dinner or unused ticket. A hold will be placed on your university records until the charge has been paid. Note: Students will not be charged if they email the USP Office (university_scholars@ncsu.edu) AND email the staff member responsible for coordinating the event no later than 48 hours in advance that they will be unable to attend a dinner or event for which a ticket is required. A hold on your university records will prevent you from future registration or receiving transcripts. If you are assessed a charge you must pay it in order to free up your records.
