Scholars Council
The Scholars Council is a group of 30 students elected to represent the interests of all University Scholars. Each year the Scholars Council sponsors a wide variety of social, educational and service activities for University Scholars. Among the activities organized by the Scholars Council annually are: a beginning-of-the-year ice cream social; a Halloween Carnival for the Boys and Girls Clubs, a mid-year Scholars Semiformal, and an End-of-the-Year Picnic and Games. For more information about the Scholars Council, visit the Council website or contact the Scholars Council Chair, Caitlin Melvin.

"Upon entering the program I had the opportunity to join the Scholars Council. Becoming part of this program was vital for my growth and development. The Scholars Program taught me how to appreciate the basic intricacies of life. It opened my eyes to the outside world and helped me immerse myself in other cultures besides my own."
