About NDS
The Non-Degree Studies (NDS) Program is administered by the Department of Registration and Records and provides individuals who have not matriculated into a degree program access to credit courses at NC State University on a part-time basis.
Through Non-Degree Studies, individuals can take undergraduate or graduate courses to:
- Meet NC State University admission requirements,
- Transfer credits to another university,
- Update professional skills, or
- Enrich personal experiences.
What You Are Applying For:
You are applying for Non-Degree Studies; you may register for a maximum course load of 2 courses + a Physical Education per semester on a space available basis. You may choose from any On Campus and/or Distance Education courses. All course work carries degree credit. Most of the University's academic support services, such as the library, are available to NDS students; however, social, athletic, health, and similar non-academic services are not available.
Please note: NDS applications are good for a full year. For example, if you apply for Summer I, you do not need to submit a separate application for Summer II or Fall.
Admission to NDS does not imply admission to an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
