International Students

Foreign Nationals with valid Permanent Residence or Asylum Status should submit the NDS Application to the Non-Degree Studies Program with a copy of their Green Card or documentation of their valid Asylum Status.

  1. Complete a Non-Degree Studies Application.
  2. Read the instructions carefully and complete the International Clearance for NDS form.  Submit to Distance Education with the required documentation.

  3. Students who have lived in North Carolina for more than 12 months may be eligible under certain circumstances for North Carolina residency for tuition purposes (in-state tuition rates). To be considered for in-state tuition students should follow the instructions found on the Residency website.
  4. Once notification of an International Applicant's approval to take classes is received, the student's application will be processed and they will be sent an email with all the information necessary for the student to register.
