Description

Intensive one or two semester study abroad program designed for international students to further their overseas academic program, increase understanding of American culture and improve English language skills.

Curriculum
(What will I learn?)

Required Courses:

  • GTI 401 Introduction to U.S. Culture & Education (3 hrs)
  • Other specific courses may be required or recommended with the departmental advisor provided the total number of hours meet or exceed full time status. (9 hrs)


The GTI Certificate student will consult with the sponsoring faculty member and/or the coordinator of advising and will (no later than the close of the course registration period) develop a plan of work depending on the interest and ability of student, availability of seats, and schedule. No new courses need to be developed – students will enroll in existing courses as appropriate and upon recommendation from academic advisor.
