May 13, 2002 Survey Seeks User Views on Internet Privacy FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE If you're concerned about privacy issues, like many who regularly inhabit the e-world of the Internet, now you can help guide policy-makers. Researchers at North Carolina State University are currently conducting an online survey about privacy values, and your point of view is welcome. According to Dr. Annie I. Anton, assistant professor of computer science at NC State and team leader of the project, responses will help shape privacy policies as well as guide software developers. Supported by a National Science Foundation (NSF) information technology research grant, the survey is available online at: www.theprivacyplace.org/privacySurvey/surveyPage1.php. It takes about ten minutes to complete, and all Internet users are invited to participate. Results of the survey will be published this summer on the project's website: http://theprivacyplace.org.
