NC State Presents First Gen. Hugh Shelton Leadership Forum

What: North Carolina State University hosts the first annual General Henry Hugh Shelton Leadership Forum. Major speakers will include Gen. Shelton, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Congressional Gold Medal Recipient; Gen. Richard Myers, current chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and CW4 Michael Durant (Ret.), pilot of the MH60 Black Hawk that was shot down in Somalia in 1993, which was the basis for the movie "Black Hawk Down." The forum is designed to promote leadership skills in the public and private sectors.

Who: Presented by the NC State Office of Extension and Engagement and the Office of Professional Development

When: Friday, Nov. 15, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: NC State's McKimmon Center at Gorman St. and Western Blvd. in Raleigh

Cost: Attendance fee is $89 (includes lunch); pre-registration is preferred, although there will be an opportunity to register on-site the day of the event
