NC State University to Host Kwanzaa Celebration

What: The 11th annual Kwanzaa Celebration at North Carolina State University will feature keynote speaker Farai Chideya, a noted journalist, entrepreneur and author, as well as traditional Kwanzaa rituals, dance and food. Chideya has written two books, "Don't Believe the Hype: Fighting Cultural Misinformation About African-Americans" and "The Color of Our Future." She has also been a correspondent for ABC News and contributed commentaries for BET News, CNN, MSNBC and Fox.

Who: Sponsored by the NC State Office of African-American Student Affairs

When: Thursday, Dec. 5 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Chideya will sign books from 5 to 6 p.m.,
and will give her presentation at 6 p.m.

Where: NC State's African-American Cultural Center, located in Witherspoon Student
Center
on main campus

Cost: The event is free and open to the public
