Annual
$10K Business Plan Competition Expanded
What:Kickoff
event for the 10th Annual Carroll Joyner $10K Business
Plan Competition, presented by the College
of Management at North Carolina State University.
The 2003 competition will be expanded to include an
open division for NC State students, alumni and faculty,
in addition to the regular undergraduate division. Competitors
will vie for $10,000 in prize money in the open division.
The competition will conclude in April with presentations
by the participants to a panel of entrepreneurs and
businesspeople from the community.
When:
6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29
Where:
Student Commons, second floor of Nelson Hall, NC State
campus. (Nelson Hall is at the corner of Hillsborough
Street and Dan Allen Drive.)
Who:
For all NC State undergraduate and graduate students,
NC State alumni from all programs, and NC State faculty
who wish to participate in the competition. Entrepreneurship
faculty and students from the Entrepreneurs Club in
the College of Management will host the reception.
What:
An opportunity for interested students, alumni and faculty
to learn about the competition, network with peers and
form teams for the competition. Organizers are encouraging
cross-disciplinary groups to work together on business
plans.
