College of Design Hosts Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest
Students
from North Carolina State University’s College
of Design will get into the Halloween spirit by expressing
their creativity during the college’s annual pumpkin
carving contest at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24
at Kamphoefner Courtyard, which is located behind Brooks
Hall off Pullen Road on the NC State campus.
The
jack-o’-lanterns will be on display at the College
of Design following the contest Friday night and again
from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday during the annual
student “Halloween Bash Celebration,” which
will be held outside Kamphoefner Hall. The celebration
is a showcase of design students’ creatively designed
costumes.
The
contest is free and open to the public. Media
coverage of the pumpkin carving contest or the celebration
is invited. Both events are hosted by the student-run
NC State University Design Council.
