State Presents Nonprofit Management Expert Dennis
Young
What:
The North Carolina State University Institute
for Nonprofits presents “Social Enterprise: A
Strategy for Nonprofit Mission and Sustainability,” a
talk by Dr. Dennis Young, founding CEO of the National
Center on Nonprofit Enterprise. Recently named to the
NonProfit Times “Power and Influence Top 50” list,
Young is a professor of nonprofit management and economics
at Case Western Reserve University and former director
of the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations.
Young’s
talk will focus on how social enterprise contributes
to nonprofit success, highlighting relevant
issues such as measuring success, assessing risk, and
the importance of business acumen and mission focus.
His talk will be followed by a panel discussion and
a question-and-answer session.
The NC State Institute for Nonprofits builds the capacity
of nonprofit organizations to serve the public through
teaching, engagement, and the generation and application
of new knowledge.
