NC State College of Textiles Hosts Industry Open House

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles will host its third annual Industry Open House on Thursday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The college will open its doors to give industry representatives the opportunity to tour the college, discuss research and product development with faculty and graduate students, and participate in discussions about research directions for the college.

Information, discussions and demonstrations will highlight current research involving medical textiles, homeland security, nonwovens, nanotextiles, polymer and color chemistry, textile engineering, design, merchandising, and marketing. Graduate students will present research projects in a poster session, and industry representatives will serve as judges in selecting the most outstanding poster presentation.

All industry representatives interested in learning more about the “new world of textiles” are invited to attend. Please register by contacting Kate Ryan 919/515-6640 and providing the name of the company and the names of those attending.

Upon entering Centennial Campus via Avent Ferry Road, proceed east on Varsity Drive. Turn right at the stop sign (Main Campus Drive). Continue past the next stop sign at Research Drive. The College of Textiles will be on your right.
