State to Hold Open House for Prospective Students
on Oct. 15
What:
Open House gives high school students and
families, school counselors and teachers an opportunity
to visit the North Carolina State University campus
and learn about academic programs and student life
at the state’s largest public university. About
7,000 people attend annually. Visitors can get information
about specific majors, admissions, housing, dining,
arts, athletics and more. Buildings on the main and
Centennial campuses will be open to show off student
projects, research labs, special exhibitions and demonstrations.
Student groups will perform and entertain the crowd
throughout the day.
Who:
NC State’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
When:
Saturday, Oct. 15, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Campus tours will begin at 9:30 a.m. and run continually
throughout the day. Tours start from the fountain on
the north side of Talley Student Center. Admissions
information sessions, scheduled for 9:30 a.m., 10:30
a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., will take place at
Stewart Theatre in Talley Student Center. Shuttle buses
will run between the main campus and Centennial Campus.
Where:
Talley Student Center and Carmichael Gymnasium on NC
State’s main campus.
Cost:
Free and open to the public.
