Shelton Leadership Forum Scheduled for Friday, Nov.

billionaire and former U.S. presidential candidate H.
Ross Perot will headline the fourth annual General Henry
Hugh Shelton Leadership Forum, scheduled for Friday,
Nov. 11 from 8:45 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Jane S. McKimmon
Conference and Training Center on the North Carolina
State University campus.
The forum, titled “Leadership That Leaves a Legacy,”
will also include the forum’s namesake, former
chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and retired Army
General Hugh Shelton, and Dr. John C. Maxwell, best-selling
author and founder of Maximum Impact and INJOY Stewardship
Services.
Media coverage of the forum is invited. Media
representatives must sign in upon arrival in the McKimmon
Center lobby. Maxwell and Shelton will be available
for media interviews from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. in Room

The McKimmon Center is located at the corner of Western
Boulevard and Gorman Street; free parking will be available
in the McKimmon Center lot.
Perot will give the forum’s opening message at
8:45 a.m. Shelton will preside over a special luncheon
honoring veterans from noon-1:30 p.m., and Maxwell will
present the keynote
address – titled “Achieving the Legacy You
Want to Leave,” – at 1:45 p.m.
The General Henry Hugh Shelton Leadership Forum is an
annual seminar series that focuses attention on the
importance of leadership development. The forum is one
program offering of the General Henry Hugh Shelton Leadership
Initiative, which is administered by the NC State Office
of Extension, Engagement and Economic Development. As
executive director, General Shelton is committed to
developing values-based leadership skills to enhance
corporate, government, education, nonprofit and youth
development organizations. The General Henry Hugh Shelton
Leadership Initiative offers scholarships, as well as
executive, faculty, student and youth development conferences.
