Physicist Brian Greene to Speak at NC State
What:
Renowned physicist, author and television host
Dr. Brian Greene will deliver a lecture at North Carolina
State University titled “The Fabric of the Cosmos:
Space, Time, and the Texture of Reality.”
Greene has published two popular books on physics and
string theory, “The Elegant Universe,” and
“The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time, and the
Texture of Reality.” Greene was also the host
of the NOVA television series “The Elegant Universe.”
Greene is known for his skill in making complicated
cutting-edge scientific concepts accessible for a general
audience, so the lecture should be interesting and understandable
for all.

The event is sponsored by the Issues and Ideas Committee
of the Union Activities Board at NC State in collaboration
with the NC State Department of Physics, SAS Institute,
University Scholars, University Honors, and Women in
Science and Engineering (WISE).
When:
Monday, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.
Where:
Stewart Theatre, located inside the Talley Student Center
on the NC State campus.
Cost:
$10 for the general public and free for
NC State students, faculty and staff.
