Research Interests

Synthesis of nanoengineered structural materials: engineering materials with enhanced mechanical strength and with low thermal conductivity; functional composite materials with built-in sensors; Synthesis and fabrication of power generators and solid propellants; Heat transfer in composite materials at multi-scale size; Fluid dynamics/gas kinetics and chemical kinetics in rarefied fluids/gases and/or at high temperature
