In 2004, the Presidents of the ACC agreed to provide funds for international education programs to enhance cooperation and collaboration between the ACC institutions. As a result, the International Academic Collaboration (IAC) was formed to emphasize international and global affairs, especially study abroad and research in areas of the world where it is not feasible for a single university to sustain a full program. Other collaborative areas are Ph.D. student exchanges, a roundtable of chief technology officers, an annual conference where undergraduate research projects are presented, and scholarship and grant opportunities for students and faculty. Please review the ACC/IAC's website for more grant information: http://www.acciac.org/. The next Request for Proposals will be in early 2007.
The 2006 Annual ACC/IAC Conference will take place at Duke University, November 19-21, 2006 at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. Please visit their website for more information: http://www.international.duke.edu/intl_opportunities/acciac
