To carry out its mission in discovering and applying knowledge in a global environment, the Centennial Campus Middle School offered an East Asian Festival day on March 6 for over 200 students in the seventh grade. With the support of the Confucius Institute, the Japan Center , and Korean Volunteers, Students were able to enjoy and experience a school day filled with enriching educational and cultural activities that modeled life in China , Japan , and Korea . Students were able to step out of their usual classroom environment to have a hands-on experience featuring Asian stories, a question and answer room with Asian culture specialists, calligraphy and painting, cultural presentation s s uch as the tea ceremony and Taiko drumming, martial arts, origami and paper cutting, popular Chinese games, and a food tasting room.
