To prepare school students for global economy and China-related career, School-to-Career Initiatives of Wake County Public School System provided their career coordinators with a Chinese culture orientation at Martin Middle School on March 18.  Ms. Sarah Cao and Prof. Keqian Xu, both deputy director of Confucius Institute, were invited to speak on Chinese culture and its impact on students' future.

       In their presentation, Ms.Cao and Prof. Xu addressed the importance of understanding China and Chinese culture to American students, basic values in Chinese culture and concerns on China-related career .  The audience was able to take a closer view at China and Chinese culture through cross-cultural perspectives and lively examples. After the presentation, they expressed strong interest in bringing such cultural orientation to their schools. ·
