International Student Enrollment Statistics
Through the website links below, readers can view certain statistics, data tables, and color charts that highlight international student enrollment facts and numbers at NC State University for the Fall 2010 semester. The data used in these reports is drawn from the Student Information System at NC State University as well as other information sources in the Office of International Services. There may be some variation in numbers when compared to enrollment statistics captured by other University units (e.g., University Planning and Analysis or Enrollment Management) and these are usually due to the date the information is reported and certain definitions or reporting criteria.
The information contained in these OIS reports defines “international student” as those students who are enrolled in NC State University credit-bearing courses, are physically present on campus in Raleigh, and are here in a lawful nonimmigrant status. This definition excludes students who are lawful permanent residents (green-card holders or resident aliens), those with certain other semi-permanent immigration status (e.g., refugees, political asylees, TPS, etc.,), students who are studying in Distance Education only programs or are studying overseas, those with unknown or undocumented status, and those who are engaged in student internship or visiting research programs on campus but are not enrolled in courses.
