Updating Address Information


All students must update there local address information every semester in the NCSU Student Information System.
Additionally, all students in F-1 status are required to update this information or will be considered legally out of status.

Our system receives a feed of information from the MyPack Portal system that uses PHYSICAL Address to update your local address and the Permanent Address for your Foreign Address. Even if we were to manually enter address information directly into our system, it would be erased the next day by the feed from MyPack Portal.

"Local Address" is labeled Physical Address on the Address screen within MyPack Portal.
Please select the Physical Address check box after adding a new address in order for your information
to be passed successfully to our office and ultimately to the Department of Homeland Security.

Here is how you can do that:

Once you log in to the portal, you should
   - Click on Student Self Service
   - Then Click on Campus Personal Information
   - Then Click on Addresses
   - Choose Add a new address & fill out your local address & contact information.
   - Click OK
   - Then Select Physical Address
   - Save your updates.

** NOTE: The "Permanent Address" option in MyPack portal should only be used for your Foreign Address.
Your Foreign Address is your address in your home country.
