ENGLISH CONVERSATION CLUB
To Native/Fluent English Speakers

Do you like to talk? Do you like to help others?

Come to the English Conversation Club and help international students/scholars/spouses practice their English! In a small group or one-on-one informal setting, you can help an international with basic conversational skills, American expressions, vocabulary, and idioms.

The only job requirements:

  • You like to meet others

  • You speak English fluently

It’s as easy as that!

You will also receive a FREE weekly newsletter called CONNECTIONS that contains fun, cultural activities in and around Raleigh and NC State University. This newsletter also contains idioms from past club meetings and is a good tool for discussion in small groups.

No sign-up required – just come!

There are currently three (3) clubs. Meeting times and locations:

  • Every Monday, 10:00am-11:00am - E.S. King Village Commons Bldg.
  • Every Thursday, 3:30 pm-4:30 pm on Centennial Campus in the Port City Java in the College of Textiles.
  • Every Friday, 3:30 pm-4:30 pm in Daniels Hall. Visitor parking is available in the Visitor Parking Lot at Riddick, accessed from Pullen Road to Stinson Drive.)



ENGLISH CONVERSATION CLUB
To Non-native English Speakers at NC State University

Do you want to improve your English? 
Do you want to meet other internationals and Americans?
Then come to the English Conversation Club!

You can practice basic conversational skills and learn American expressions, vocabulary, and idioms in a small group or one-on-one informal setting with a native English speaker.

You will also receive a FREE weekly newsletter called CONNECTIONS that contains fun, cultural activities going on around Raleigh and NC State University.  This newsletter also contains idioms from past club meetings and includes different articles about American culture.

You do not need to sign-up. Just come!

Note:  You must be a current NC State student, scholar, spouse or family member in order to participate.
