common questions

 Open House - October 19, 2013

Do I need to register?

While registration is not required, we would like to know that you are coming.  To register for Open House you will need to create an account on wolfPAW, your Personal Admissions Website.  WolfPAW will allow you to notify us of your plans to attend and will also give you the opportunity to provide feedback about your Open House experience.

Do I have to stay the entire time?

There is no set program for the University Open House. Therefore, it is not necessary to stay for the duration of the event. We recommend glancing at the schedule and list of activities associated with Open House and planning your day accordingly. The Open House program will be available in September.

Where does the campus tour start?

There are no formal campus tours offered during Open House as the entire campus will be open for you to explore. Open House students and staff will be available throughout campus to assist you in your exploration. Look for friendly faces wearing an Open House medallion.

What should I wear?

University Open House includes indoor and outdoor activities throughout campus. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and walking shoes.

Where can I park?

We expect a large number of visitors for Open House. In order to avoid heavy traffic, guests will be given the option of beginning their visit at one of three parking decks. If Central or North Campus is your first stop, you can park in the Coliseum Parking Deck or the Dan Allen Deck. If Centennial Campus will be your first stop, parking is available in the Partners Way Deck.

I applied online, is it okay to bring my transcript with me to campus and drop it off?

Due to the large volume of visitors we are expecting, admissions officers will not be able to accept any application materials before, during or after the Open House.  Applicants are strongly encouraged to mail supporting documents to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions directly.

I am planning to attend the transfer information session. Will I be able to have my transcripts reviewed/evaluated?

The transfer information session will provide general information regarding the transfer process.  While specific questions are encouraged, we will not be able to review or evaluate transcripts for potential credit and/or admissibility.

I am arriving from out of town and need to make hotel reservations.  Can you recommend hotels in the area?

Please visit our accommodations page for details regarding area hotels.
