Diversity Programs at NC State NC State is proud of its diversity and the special contributions that various cultures, perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds bring to this institution’s mission and its constituents. Additionally, the kinds of learning that diversity fosters and the tolerance that it engenders are prized elements of an educated population. New Student Orientation strives to introduce incoming students to various aspects of the diverse community in which they are entering. One method used to accomplish this goal is a diversity brochure that is distributed to first-year students during their Orientation session.
