The information on this page relates to the Summer 2011 Orientation program. Updated information regarding the Summer 2012 program will be available February 15, 2012.
The Office of New Student Orientation welcomes you to NC State University, a community of achievers rich in tradition and academic excellence. To assist you in becoming a part of this community, we invite you to attend a Transfer Orientation Session.
After paying your Advanced Enrollment Deposit confirming you are coming to NC State, be sure to complete the following:
- Determine which Orientation session you should attend:
- Review additional Orientation information that is located here on this website by following the links to the left. You will also want to print out the following:
- 2011 Transfer Orientation Packet - this packet has the most essential Orientation information. Bring this with you to Orientation.
- 2011 Parking Permit - this permit is required to be displayed in the designated parking lots during Orientation.
- Register for Orientation by completing the online registration form.

Orientation is mandatory for all transfer and newly matriculated degree-seeking students.
