What Happens at Orientation?
Transfer Orientation Schedule
Check-in is from 8:00 – 8:35 a.m. in the Bragaw Activity Room, which is located in Bragaw Resident Hall on Dan Allen Drive. You must check in to receive your materials and program schedule. After check-in, meet fellow NC State students and enjoy the morning refreshments at the Talley Student Union provided by New Student Orientation.
The morning program will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. in the Mountains/Piedmont Ballroom, which is located on the third floor of the Talley Student Union. You will be introduced to the NC State academic community and support services.
Following lunch at Fountain Dining Hall, students will meet with your college or academic department to assist you in learning more about your academic area of study and the expectations from your department, answering any questions about your course schedule for the fall semester, and meeting other incoming students in your college and department.
Optional campus tours and opportunities to "take care of business" will be provided throughout the day to students who may be interested.
Students should plan on a 5:00 p.m. departure.
