International Study
The broadening of cultural horizons is a critical element of the Park Scholarships program. International study is strongly encouraged for every Park Scholar, and NC State University has a range of opportunity available for study in countries from Spain to China.
Study Abroad Scholarships and Grants
Park Scholars can apply for Park Enrichment Grants to support international experiences in length from one week to one year. Students also have the opportunity to apply for travel grants awarded by the Park Alumni Society in order to cover airfare for fall and spring study abroad experiences. Students choosing international study in Spain are eligible for grants awarded in honor of the late Vincent Maniscalco '04, a Park Scholar who studied abroad Salamanca, Spain. In addition, Park Scholars may apply for additional awards through NC State's Study Abroad Office.

Nicole Mack '11 studied at the University of Ghana with help from a Park Alumni Society travel stipend. She took courses such as the History of Western Medicine, African Drumming, and African-American Literature. Nicole plans to combine her new knowledge of African society with her degree in statistics to address public health issues both in the U.S. and abroad.
