Selection Committee
A network of dedicated and talented NC State alumni, faculty, and friends participate in our application and selection process. The Selection Committee assists with application reviews, interviewing, and outreach.
Regional Selection Committees
There are 11 Regional Selection Committees (RSC) across North Carolina and the United States, each chaired by a veteran RSC member (see maps/tables below). A strength of using regional committees is that applicants are first reviewed by people who are familiar with their communities and schools. About 200 Selection Committee members annually review applications and interview Semifinalists advancing from their regions.
