Regional Volunteers
The Park Scholarships program depends on a network of dedicated and talented NC State alumni and friends to assist with our application and selection process. Alumni and faculty assist with application reviews, interviewing, and outreach.
Regional Selection Committees
There are 11 Regional Selection Committees (RSC) across North Carolina and the United States, each chaired by a veteran RSC volunteer (see maps/tables below). A strength of using regional committees is applicants are first reviewed by people who are familiar with their communities and schools. About 175 volunteers annually review applications and interview semifinalists advancing from their areas.
