Speaker Series
Park Scholars receive continuous exposure to relevant, local and global issues through the efforts of the Park Scholarships program and NC State University. In 2006, the tenth anniversary year of the program, the Speaker Series was started as a way for Park Scholars to contribute to the intellectual climate of the University. The Scholars work with faculty to bring renowned individuals to campus to address such issues as bioethics, entrepreneurship, the economy, and the tragic genocide in Darfur.

Genocide in Darfur
Last February, the Park Scholarships brought N.Y. Times columnist Nicholas Kristof to campus to talk about the crisis in Darfur.
