November 17, 2000 Archive Version (Effective November 17, 2000 through February 21, 2002) - Revised sections 2, 4.1, 4.2.2, 4.2.3, 4.3, 7.5 and 7.6 to accommodate business operations and residential facilities on Centennial Campus to include the conference center, hotel, golf course, alumni center and residential housing.  Also to define the alcohol policy concerning the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages on Centennial Campus and the Entertainment and Sports Arena.

February 22, 2002 Archived Version ( Effective February 22, 2002 through April 21, 2005) - Amended sections 4.1, 4.2.2, and 7.5 to clarify the definition of athletics events and to provide equivalent treatment for Carter Finley Stadium and the Raleigh Entertainment and Sports Arena space used by NC State.

April 22, 2005 Archived Version (Effective April 22, 2005 through September 15, 2005) – Revised section 4.2.2 to ensure that suite holders in Carter Finely Stadium are required to abide by NCSU's alcohol policy. The policy permits consumption of alcohol in suites except during an athletic event, which is defined as the period beginning 30 minutes before play commences and ending 30 minutes after play ends. This amendment is consistent with what is required for the RBC Center suites.

September 16, 2005 Archived Version (Effective September 16, 2005 through April 27, 2006) - revised to address issues that have arisen during the past year and to clarify the application of the policy to various areas other than university buildings: (1) to exempt private entities who own or lease faciities on NCSU property from obtaining the Chancellor's permission to possess and consume spirituous liquor, mised beverages, and fortified wine in their privately owned or leased facilities; (2) to include private suites in Vaughn Towers in the policy consistent with private suites inthe RBC Center; (3) to clarify when alcohol is permitted in the parking lots at Carter Finley Stadium and the RBC Center and (4) to clarify that possession of open containers of alcoholic beverages and consumption of alcoholic beverages are not permitted in open areas on campus except as specifically authorized by the policy or otherwise permitted by the Chancellor.

April 28, 2006 Current Version - Policy revisions address issues that have arisen during the past year an clarify the application of the policy to various areas on campus: (1) Chancellor given authority to promulgate and enforce regulations that further limit the serving, possession, or consumption of alcohol during business hours, at university and student sponsored events, and in work areas or employee offices; (2) Prohibits consumption of alcoholic beverages in the public spaces in the residence halls; (3) Defines the phrase "sale of alcoholic beverages"; (4) Includes acknowledgement by student organizations to abide to regulations issued by the Chancellor or chancellor's delegate governing possession and consumption of alcohol; (5) Encourages all departments that conduct social events using alcohol to take advantage of university alcohol education and training programs; (6) Prohibits use of "Kegs" in Carter Finley Stadium permanent and leased parking facilities in connection with NCSU football tailgating or tailgating at any other event being held in Carter Finley Stadium, or on such other occasions as permitted by the Chancellor or the Chancellor's representative; and (7) Prohibits taking alcoholic beverages inside Carter Finley Stadium on game or event day.
