April 2, 2002 - Archived Version (Effective April 2, 2002 through August 14, 2005) - Codifies standard operating procedure.

Revisions:

August 15, 2005 - Archived Version (Effective August 15, 2005 through January 23, 2006) - revisions made (1) To clarify that the Chancellor's permission is not required for persons who own or lease facilities to serve al cohol in their privately owned or leased facilities; (2) To clarify the meaning of "University Facilities" as it applies to the requirement for obtaining Chancellor's permission to serve alcohol; and (3) To designate the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs as the Chancellor' s representative for purposes of granting permission to serve alcohol in the Talley Student Center, The Witherspoon Student Center and Thompson Theatre in accordance with the University's Alcohol Policy and this Regulation.

January 24, 2006 Archived Version (Effective January 24, 2006 through July 31, 2006) - Revised to clarify the process for obtaining Chancellor's approval for serving, possessing or consuming alcohol in university facilities and circumstances under which approval will be granted. The revisions also interprets the Board of Trustees Alcohol Policy as it relates to the sell of alcohol on campus.

August 1, 2006 Current Version - This regulation was revised to incorporate policy reference from the NCSU Alcohol Policy POL04.20.2 as to what requirements must be followed for events at which alcohol is served (see Section 6) and to clarify precautions for events that are attended by minors in accordance with North Carolina law (see Section 5.1). Also revised Section 5.2 to specify the times which permission is given for the use alcohol at events held in university facilities.
